About the course

God intends prayer as a means of fellowship and communion between Him and humans. Prayer is where we are made to reflect on God and engage him in discussions. It is a two-way dialogue where both you and God are involved. We pour out our minds and allow Him to reveal his mind to us. In this module, we will discover the purpose and power of prayer and how to pray to commune with God.

We can see the first prayer engagement in Genesis 3 when God came down in the cool of the evening, and Adam and Eve hid. However, we strongly believe that was not the first time He came down. He has been coming down to have fellowship with humans since their creation. The pattern of man has corrupted God's original intention for prayer – fellowship and communion between humans and God. Prayer, which God created as a solution, is now a problem. We can liken it to the Sabbath, designed for our rest and benefit, which became a significant issue of concern during Jesus Christ's earthly ministry. Jesus had to remind the people that He is the Lord of the Sabbath (Luke 6:1-5).

Learn a reliable method to structure your prayers

Jesus taught his disciples how to pray as a pattern for us to follow; it is not enough to pray but to pray rightly.
