Jesus’ conversation with Nicodemus helps us understand what spiritual birth is. This module will expand on what it means to be born again in Christ. Jesus said: ‘that what is of the flesh is of the flesh, and that which is of the spirit is of the spirit.’ God started preparing for man's redemption after the fall of man in the Garden of Eden.
Jesus refers to this spiritual birth as being "born again." We all have a physical birthday, but not everyone has a spiritual birthday, which occurs when we accept God's invitation to place our faith in Christ as Lord and Savior. We die twice if there is no spiritual birth: physically and spiritually. With a spiritual birth, however, we only die once (physically) because our spirit lives forever.
